420 has always been a holiday I’ve been feverishly looking forward to for the last 10 years. My first 420 celebration was one to remember, consuming cannabis nearly for the first time in the CU-Boulder Quad before those types of free-flowing celebrations got shut down. Ever since then I’ve been consuming cannabis nearly daily as part of my health and wellness routine. I’d guess you could say celebrating 420 for me is a nod at my youth, it takes me back to those carefree college days where life was much simpler which is why I look forward to 420 every year.
Last year, the year where 420 was all month long (hello April 2020), we all know what happened. COVID shut down all of the in-person events and those well-known smoke friendly events of puff-puff-pass ceased to exist. Instead we all sat around our computers, TV’s and phones watching various live streaming events. While it wasn’t even close to the same, we made the best of it.
This year is panning out to be similar in nature with a few in-person events sprinkled throughout Denver. If you are looking for something to do this year check out our 420 Guide to Virtual Events, Ganja Yoga and more.

Second Annual Ganja Yoga 420 Experience
Cannabis and yoga is clearly one of my favorite things, so what could be better than a day long virtual wellness experience presented by the original Ganja Yogi, Dee Dussault!? This event features 20 yoga teachers, healers, and cannabis entrepreneurs, including a discussion on plant medicine and social justice, psychedelic talks, and a diverse range of cannabis yoga classes from a wide range of lit yogis around the world.
$20.00 to attend with 15% of ticket sales being donated to the Last Prisoner’s Project | Register here.
Tetra Lounge is Denver’s premium private consumption lounges and is one of the only places in the city where you can smoke and chill with your friends. Since kicking off their 420 celebrations in 2018 with Young Dolph Tetra has consistently kept things lit with their consumption friendly events
This year is no different starting the day with Yoga on Weed, Cannabis Yoga event by Amanda Hintz of Bend and Blaze at 10am. Tetra keeps the party going after a nice stretch sesh with a full day of live music, food, art exhibits and vendors.
Make sure you bring your ID and RSVP in advance | $25.00 to join in on the fun.
The Marijuana Mansion is a new one-of a kind immersive cannabis-venue and art exhibit in downtown Denver. The mansion offers 3 floors and 11-rooms of cannabis-themed photo worthy scenes. This historic mansion was built in 1889 for the Joseph Creswell family and still includes much of its original charm. Take a self-guided tour of the mansion and stop by The Green Dragon Dispensary after for all your 420 goodies.
Tickets can be found here.
Other Fun Activities
While there isn’t an official event for this, let’s face it stoners get the munchies especially after a full day of smoking. Coincidentally 420 lands on Tuesday which makes it the perfect excuse to indulge in some tacos. There are plenty of traditional taco joints on Federal Blvd to try out or you can try out some more mainstream places like Illegal Petes, Torchy’s Tacos, and Tacos Tequila Whiskey to name a few.
